A new campaign encouraging women to talk about their vaginas has been launched in a bid to shake the taboo associated with the topic of women’s health.The ‘Vagina is not a dirty word’ campaign was thought up by Courtney Smith, whose store The Beauty Shop, in Southend on Sea, Essex, teamed up with Coco-Boo Lingerie, in Leigh-on-Sea, to raise money for cancer charity The Eve Appeal.
The campaign – which features models in lingerie from Coco-Boo alongside the slogans ‘Vagina is not a dirty word and ‘No taboo’ – aims to break down the stigma associated with the topic of reproductive health and gynaecological cancers, highlighting symptoms that women should be aware of and raising money for vital research.
